The largest synagogue in the Czech Republic, second largest in Europe and third largest in the world, built between 1888 and 1893 in the Moorish-Romanesque style, testifies to the once prosperous and plentiful Jewish community of Pilsen. The interior boasts excellent acoustics and is used for concerts and exhibitions.
