Piazza del Duomo

Piazza del Duomo is the main square of Milan, and also its geometric center. It is the meeting point of the city, and the place where the most important events are celebrated. The square is rectangular and measures 17,000 square feet of surface. At its center is the equestrian monument to Vittorio Emanuele II, while the sides are the Cathedral, with its famous Gothic façade, the Palazzo Carminati, the Royal Palace, the southern and northern arcades, which are accessed through the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
